Mexican Designer Josefa caftan dress

This spectacular dress by renowned Mexican designer Josefa, is Vintage unique. Josefa started her work on the beach in Puerto Valletta, Mexico in the 1970’s. It was there that she sold jewelry first and then began to sew the unique and comfortable dresses that caught the eye of Elizabeth Taylor! Taylor was filming on location and it is said that she bought all of the dresses that Josefa could make, taking them back to California. This particular dress is more detailed with hand embroidery, ribbons and tassels !!! It is one of a kind! Other dresses have been in Museum collections and shows in South Texas but this dress is the best!
