I had the soles reinforced for NYC pavement walking (see image), so they will last forever. Due to barely wearing them, they are not broken in at all - you can get them to form-fit to your feet. As I was photographing them for this I noticed the leather looks more worn on one. I'm guessing it was a floor model. I never noticed it when I bought them. If that's an issue for you, these aren't the boots for you. Otherwise, it's been accounted for in the price. Super soft leather, high quality, high-end boot. Classic, boho, made to last.
