robnville hello. no I was not aware of what you described with the shoe. I only wore the shoe above 2 times and the heel height was too much for me. I checked the shoe before packaging the shoe but I didn't put it on. the shoe and the straps were fine when I looked at them. I do not set out to deceive buyers as I would not want to be deceived.
