kriscarlone I’m sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. I didn’t notice a smell and I have a smoke free home. I don’t wash items before shipping as I assume purchaser will want to wash upon receiving. I always do my best to sell quality items and am diligent in checking items before shipping.
