@dresslikeaboss I don't understand how the purchase and shipping works.

It can be confusing when you're getting started! If you're a buyer, you pay a flat fee of $5.95 shipping which goes to cover the cost of shipping (no matter what it actually costs). If you are a seller, you only have to worry about your sale price -- poshmark takes a 20% fee on any sale and then automatically generates a shipping label for you, which will be emailed to you. You just have to print out that label, package your item and take drop it off at the post office.

The post office provides free priority shipping envelopes & shipping materials that you can use to ship it (just don't use anything that says flat rate). You can also order free supplies online from usps dot com and they'll deliver to your house so you have some in stock.

The shipping label has tracking on it, so poshmark will know when it has been shipped & delivered. Once it's delivered, the buyer has 3 days to inspect an item and accept it. They can do that at any time in those three days. This gives them a chance to file a claim in case the item is not as described or the wrong item was shipping. Once they accept an item, you'll be automatically notified that your money is available for withdraw from your account (or to use on posh).

If a buyer doesn't accept an item in 3 days (some buyers forget or they are new and don't know), poshmark will release the money, as long as the buyer hasn't filed a claim in those 3 days.

it sounds complicated, but it's a pretty smooth process once you get the hang of it!

let me know if you need clarification on any of the above or have any other questions!

@dresslikeaboss ok then how does the money come to me and in what form?

so the money is deposited into your account --- if you're in the app, if you click on the green circle with the dollar $ sign in it, that takes you to your balance. If you've made a sale but it hasn't been accepted yet, the funds will appear as "pending" ...once a item has been accepted or 3 days after delivery, the money will become "redeemable." Once it's redeemable, you can 1) transfer it to your bank account 2) request a check or 3) use it on posh to buy whatever you want

depending on your bank, it can take 2-3 days to process before the money shows up in your bank account --- if you pick the check option that will obviously take longer as they have to physically mail you a check that you have to manually deposit
