alisoncrossan shipping is ridiculous, 1/2 hour from Toronto the shipping is the same as the cost of the item last time for me

twistx Hello! Such lovely vintage pieces in your closet. I would buy them all but I am trying to pare down. In fact, I am in the same boat as you, selling a number of pieces of my late aunt’s. Can I ask how you photographed yours?

darlingfox @twistx thank you for such kind words! My goodness, I could go on and on about how I photograph my pieces. It’s changed so much over the last year and a bit, too. I invested in a ring light with a phone holder right in the centre of it (so I don’t have to manually hold my phone and reset after each item - I think I spent around $40 on it). I also photograph on top of a piece of black velvet I got from fabricland.

darlingfox @twistx And then I create a makeshift light box with card stock I got from the dollar store to help reflect light everywhere. I also have an earring stand and a necklace bust I got from Michael’s. And for the rings, I took a black velvet insert out of an old ring box I already had. I then edit all of the pictures. It’s probably excessive, but I grew up with a dad who’s a photography buff so it’s rubbed off on me. 😅 There are a few other steps I go through, but then this reply would be a novel.
