mizizmo @shop_luxury Just read your message. While I would like to keep the watch, I can't agree to until I find out from my local watch repair the cost of installing a new battery. I can do so tomorrow morning - about 16 hours from now. Then I will give you my decision. Thanks.

mizizmo @shop_luxury The cost to repair the watch by replacing the battery is $25 here. Are you willing to pay for the repair of the watch? Please let me know ASAP so I can either have the watch repaired or sent back to you at your expense.

mizizmo @shop_luxury When the jeweler the watch to replace the battery he discovered that the movements were made in China! Movado does not manufacture its movements in China! Therefore the item that you sold me is a counterfeit! So, AS YOU VERY WELL KNOW sending it to Movado would be useless! I have sent the jeweler's report along with photographs of the inside of the watch which are clearly marked CHINA to Poshmark. I have already spent more time and money on this watch than it is worth. Your move.

shop_luxury @mizizmo For the record, the Movado Bold watch that I sold to you via Poshmark-- was initially purchased two years ago, for $395.00(plus tax)--from a Macy's in Atlanta, Georgia. The watch that I sold to you via Poshmark is authentic and has two verifiable serial and registration numbers(8 digit number and 11 symbol alpha numeric code) which can both be found on the reverse side of the Watch below the "Movado Bold" font.

shop_luxury @mizizmo It's never been worn nor have I ever given it to a watchmaker/jeweler for maintenance, so I'm certain the watch you purchased from me(as evidence via the Macy's tag and serial/registration information found in the box)via Poshmark is authentic in every way, shape, and form.

shop_luxury @mizizmo Please feel free to verify said serial and registration number information with Movado directly. You can go online, or contact their customer service department via email at customerservice@movado.com, which can be found on their website at www.movado.com; and be sure to include the serial and registration number in any correspondence with the Movado organization, in an effort to validate the authenticity of your newly purchased Movado Bold timepiece.

shop_luxury @mizizmo Additionally, Movado is a low grade level wrist watch, and functions both as a quartz and automatic. As a common practice, a lot of low level Watch company's have been known to outsource certain components to mitigate costs and maximize their profitability. I'm sure someone at the company will be able to communicate the dynamics of their manufacturing process and/or whether they do "outsource" to China for some of their watches components, i.e. Batteries, etc.-- accordingly.

shop_luxury @mizizmo Unfortunately, now that the watch has been "cracked open", by a third party, I have no way of knowing if said "jeweler" has switched out the authentic parts for "China made" parts and/or swapped out a good watch for a fake one.

shop_luxury @mizizmo That said, as stated within, I have sold you an authentic watch, with verifiable registration numbers and all pertinent documentation thereof. Please feel free to contact either Movado or Macy's directly to verify the registration and serial number information and I'm sure they'll communicate the best place for you to repair or purchase a replacement battery that will have said Watch up and running in no time.

shop_luxury @mizizmo there is a serial number on the back of the watch take it to any Macy's or call a Movado store it's been 2 years since I purchased the watch the watch is Authentic

shop_luxury @mizizmo I understand. The watch can be sent to Movado to replace the battery as I previously stated. It won't cost anything. Once the battery is replaced the watch works perfectly.

mizizmo @shop_luxury I'm done. I called Macy's and got nowhere. I cannot spend anymore energy or time on this. I will keep the watch. I had the battery replaced as I said I would. Poshmark will release the funds to you. Will you honor your agreement to reimburse me the $20 I paid for battery replacement?
