z_patrice @kimps_closet Hi ~ how is a sale transacted? Do people lay through Poshmark? I received an email in my account here from what looks like a scammer asking for my phone number and address so they can send me a check. Please advise.

kimps_closet @z_patrice you are 100%, correct! Everything happens through Poshmark. Do not provide people with your email, address, phone number or any other personal information. The only thing I get via email from Poshmark is the shipping labels and notifications that someone’s liked something or sent me an offer. They never ask me to send my personal information.

z_patrice @kimps_closet Can you advise on sales procedures? I got an email stating that a buyer had paid for my item. It asked me to accept the purchase, then asked for a credit card to receive the payment on. How does Poshmark pay out to sellers? This email looked completely legit with logos, photos of my item and an order number. It is a total scam.

kimps_closet @z_patrice click on “my closet” then scroll down and click on “my sales.” This will show you items that have sold on Poshmark and their status. I’ve not had Poshmark reach out to me via email for any kind of payment information. Literally everything is handled through the app except notification of activity.
