kellyw0322 Good evening, thank you for the offer on the jewelry/trinket dish from my closet. After Poshmark takes their percentage, I would only get $.05 for the item, I would be glad to give you a discount if you wanted to bundle with something else in my closet but I can’t do that significant of a discount on one item. Hope you understand.

melissa_leroi @kellyw0322 I’m so new to this and I’m so sorry I had no idea you had to pay such a huge amount using Poshmark. Since shipping is usually $7.97 so you make anything off the shipping at all. I’m just curious

kellyw0322 @melissa_leroi no, the seller does not get any income for the shipping, it just covers the cost of postage. It’s a flat rate regardless of size or weight of box so long as it’s within the USPS guidelines for priority shipping. There is a structured commission that Poshmark takes. Anything under $15 is a flat $2.95, anything over $15 is 20% with no maximum amount.

kellyw0322 @melissa_leroi discounted shipping is an option that Poshmark allows sellers to send buyers but that difference in cost just comes out of the sale of the item so if a seller gives you a discount on shipping, they’re actually just losing more of the profit on the item

lovenarf @melissa_leroi Hi Melissa. I looked at it very carefully and I do not believe it’s a crack. When you rub your finger against the glass, there is no change in the surface. It looks like the base was glued onto the glass and it might have yellowed a bit because of the age of the piece.
