william_phelps @oceaneyes60 I am glad you like it very much. I am confused with the 3 rating. The packaging was used to keep it safe, which it did; was not used to give you any problems. The scratches were overseen on my part, but the hour glass it old. I do apologize for the dust. - Thanks! - Will

oceaneyes60 Agreed, the packing did keep it safe & it arrived with no damage. However, the packing (all those plastic bags) was very irritating to me. As I commented, I see that as transferring your plastic bag disposal duty to me - & that is a pain, in my view. Further, I didn't expect the item to be in mint condition, it's vintage, so scratches & tarnish are to be expected. Dirt, however, is easily removed, & wasn't. I like the item itself, but the rating reflects my overall view of the transaction.

william_phelps @oceaneyes60 I am sorry you feel that way. Getting the item to my customers undamaged and fast is number one priority for me. Getting any packaging material should be expected. What would you have done with package peanuts or news paper? Thrown it away. You got what purchased. It arrived fast and is undamaged as you expected. When you rate the next person keep that in mind. Taking a star away for a packaging material that worked is unfair. - Will
