salbarley I really apologize for the Vans smelling like smoke. Unfortunately I do smoke cigarettes. I always wash garments and then seal them in a bag and with shoes I clean the exterior of the shoes with soapy and wipe the insides out and then spray the shoes with frebreeze. I will be more diligent moving on with shoes and at least rhebsmoke smell can be removed. I do apologize you would even have to take that step because it was on me to do so.
