Hi. I'm Jono. Some of my favorite brands are Chrome Hearts, John Varvatos, Prps, Soffer Ari, and Demon Riff. If I post telling you a Chrome Hearts item is fake, it's because it's fake. I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm not shitposting, and I'm not trying to get you to lower the price. Get the fake junk OFF of Poshmark. You're ruining this place.

jono79 @anisbenzarti09 Yes, both pairs of Chrome Hearts sunglasses currently listed by @leo_donegan (whom has of course now blocked me from further commenting on their listings) are counterfeits. The black pair are Chinese knockoffs available for $56-$93 from Taiwanese, Korean, and Russian replica sites, and their inner temples likely say "TQSUST PARHST". There is no such legit CH style named "CH8853", CH doesn't engrave "CHAT" into temple ornaments, and even that case is fake: it's PVC/vinyl/pleather.

jono79 @bikerchickn313 You can Google "Chrome Hearts" CH8853 to see more examples of those fakes, including their inner temples and some very close-up shots of "CHAT" being engraved on the temples. "CHAT HEADS" was one knockoff "brand" making the rounds on the 'Bay several years ago, and they just keep changing their brand stamp to other bastardizations they figure buyers can't read anyway ("CBRQML HDARUS", "CHARMLIBRARY", "CHAOKLHEARTS", etc).

Really pisses me off that a established resell store would t double check the authenticity of the hat before charging me 200$ for it. jono79 @nicquoan Just a heads-up, those Chrome Hearts "GITTIN ANY?" eyewear frames are replicas. The case is PVC/pleather, the PlusCross logo on the demo lens is wrong, the crosses are too thin/light, there's no GITTIN ANY? model in a brown/white/crosses colorway (GITTIN ANY - II "Coco White Crosses" yes, but its brown is translucent), and the paperwork is wrong: colorway code BOC is "Black Oxblood (red) Crosses"... Note the lack of a middle space in the horseshoe scroll logo on the fake right booklet.

While I believe that you may indeed have bought your legitimate pair of COX UCKERs (that other pair you posted are real) from Neiman Marcus, this knockoff pair could not have. If they somehow did find their way to Neiman Marcus stock, I would suggest you report that directly to Hannah Kim, their Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer. They say "TQSUST PAKHST FRAME IN JAPAN" on the inner temple, for Christ's sake.

jono79 @starboy It's not just the lighting -- the CrossBall buttons on your hats aren't even shaped correctly. Your brims have too many stitch lines. Your inner headbands have incorrect rib stitching. The A's are shaped incorrectly (for this era of hat). CH snapback straps haven't had bars down the middle since they switched from the old Otto blanks. All your hats share a total of two serial numbers between them (006-000772 & 009-093770) on incorrect tags. The 'T' on your scroll ring is even twisted.

jono79 @yasmeenfaranso No. Too many brim stitch lines (6 vs. 4), non-sterling top button, wrong top tag, completely made-up dual logo hang tag, sloppy reverse edge stitching on the crosses, wrong inner headband "rib" stitching, incorrect bar down the middle of the rear snap strap, printed (not embroidered) CH logo on a barcode tag with no silver+white security threads, bogus barcode that doesn't scan as the listed serial number, and a serial number that matches half of the fakes in @starboy 's closet.

Chrome Hearts uses no such hang tag as that, the chest and neck tag horizontal scroll logos' text is misaligned, the printed neck logo says "CHRQM...EARES" with a 'Q' (CH also doesn't obscure part of their logo like that with a second tag over it), the tail logo says "EHROMEHEARTS" (with an 'E' instead of a 'C' and no space between the words), and that dagger zipper pull is misshapen and not sterling silver. Don't get scammed.

jono79 @_blondi333 Sure. The two listed for $500 are blatant fakes. The distressed sweater... stay away from any item with that eggplant-shaped hang tag (cool sweater, though). The block text hoodie says "CHROMEHEARCSMADEFRHOLLPVOONCRZLFORPVLKFRCRPOW****" and everything down the arms is backwards -- I don't think you can get much more blatantly fake than that. The classic horseshoe scroll logo hoodie is overall a very convincing fake, but the vertical "CH" alignment at the hip is wrong. All 3 are fake.

jono79 @anisbenzarti09 You didn't buy dmitriy_v's fake REHABs, did you? That's not even what REHAB is supposed to look like; that's a knockoff of the BALLS style. REHABs (which exist as REHAB I and the slimmer REHAB II) are titanium-rimmed blade-style frames with wide leather/calfhair temples in various colors. Google "chrome hearts rehab" for examples, and "chrome hearts balls" for examples of what his pair were imitating (minus the removable sweatband). All of his CH frames have been fake so far.

jono79 @bennysankoh 0futures's SEX beanie is not authentic, no. Any time you see a hang tag, be suspicious. Any time you see THAT hang tag (eggplant shaped tri-logo CHROME HEARTS x COMME des GARÇONS tag with a block of Engrish gibberish in the middle), know immediately that it's fake. Same goes for a polybag with a giant "EHROME HEARTS" logo on it (look closely: that first 'C' is an 'E'.. also the middle points of the PlusCross fleur petals are straight lines, and they should be curved).

jono79 @macieedelman3 No, that fleur pendant necklace is not authentic Chrome Hearts -- it's not at all shaped correctly (much too tall/long, the bale ring text is illegible, and based on coloration I'd be surprised if the metal is anything but stainless steel. The CH piece this is imitating is also two-sided with the same fleur and pyramid-studded band on both sides; this has a plain flat rear surface. When CH makes a flat-backed pendant, they hallmark and brand it back there.

The poly bag's horizontal scroll logo text is misaligned, there's no ® on the horseshoe scroll logo, and the tips of the middle fleur petals are straight lines, not curved as on the shirt.

jono79 @gtecori No, that CH "KOLLJNGSTONES" shirt of michelleia769's is fake; notice the blatant misspelling of the band name (check any Old English character map to confirm the 'R' is really a 'K' and the 'I' is really a 'J' -- the 'K' can also easily be compared to the 'R's in the horseshoe scroll logo inside the neck of this shirt) and lack of space between the words.

Note the lack of space between "CHROME" and "HEARTS" in the horseshoe scroll logo and the lettering misalignment and misspellings in the horizontal scroll logo below it: "CHKOMEHEAKTS" (compare 'K' & 'R'). There's also no ® on either logo, and Chrome Hearts doesn't stack two scroll logos like that (if they're going multi-logo with a design, they go all out with an all-over print or a long line or grid of logos).

jono79 @sereennn That's exactly what I'm saying -- ethansotrill's hoodie is a knockoff. The barcode does scan as the printed serial, but it's obvious from the rest of the hoodie that it's fake. The rear logo says "EHROMEHEARTS" with an 'E' in place of a 'C', an 'O' that's rotated about 45° clockwise, and no space between the words. The print down the arms is all backwards. The chest text is gobbledygook. CH doesn't use hoodie pulls that look like that. The misshapen dagger zipper pull is non-sterling.

As for what hat you'll actually receive if you purchase it remains to be seen, but will most likely NOT be the hat depicted based on that price. If you purchase this, make sure it exactly matches the photos before accepting it. Same brim stitches (4), no bar down the middle of the snap strap, solid sterling top button, 'A' embroidery matches, NOT S/N "028-079170", etc.

jono79 @christinaalbo9 That's still a 'T' that's now partially obscured by a Post-It note. The letter spacing in that horseshoe scroll logo is also wrong, with the tail of the 'H' off-center. When I comment on something being fake, it's because I KNOW IT'S FAKE. You've at least proven it says "THROME HEARTS" instead of "THROMC KEARTS" or some other worse nonsense, but the hoodie in your listing is still fake. Way to swap out your fake dagger zipper pull image for j218j's @ D pop, scammer.

jono79 @dimesanderson Be aware that every hat in starboy's closet is fake based on his listing images. Did the hat you received have an embroidered serial number of 009-093770 as shown in his listing? They should be printed (not embroidered) straight across (not curved) in dark gray, and the serial number should be unique (look through his listings.. lots of hats sharing that same S/N makes them immediately recognizable as counterfeits). The barcode should also scan as the printed S/N with your phone.

See https://poshmark.com/listing/chrome-heart-tee-62db60229b5a4d98de109314 -- marscloset13's original "reposhed" listing of this tee had the tag pic too, but when confronted about it being fake she just blocked me, deleted the listing, and relisted without the tag pic. She's just trying to pass along the fake to someone else...

The visible cross edge stitching could be a hair more centered, but externally there's nothing glaringly wrong that someone who's not looking for certain details (like the number of brim stitch lines) would notice as being off.

jono79 @localluxury No prob. Take note of the "twisted" T as the most obvious incorrect detail. The 'O' is a little rotated, too. The inner print is sloppy and too large, and the overall shape of the ring itself is too flat -- for the "positive text" version of the scroll ring, it should absolutely look like the ring in the B&W stock pic at the end of his listing, with thick rounded edges.

jono79 @mrchrisholt24 Only image/listing of a real one of that style I can find: buyma.us/items/0d38c148-f38b-4644-869d-ccc3230638d5 -- note the completely different knitting throughout, with rib knitting only at the top and on the cuff, with a sort of alternating checker/cable knit through the body. No tag images, unfortunately, but anyone familiar with Chrome Hearts tags can verify the logo on the one you bought is bogus with rotated lettering. You can familiarize yourself with legit tags on Grailed.

That hat's top button is non-sterling, there's lettering misalignment on the tags (the most obvious of which is a lack of space between the words "CHROME" and "HEARTS" on the horseshoe scroll logo -- plus an incorrectly completed circle on the inner arc of the scroll itself), and (like all his hats) has one of two reused S/Ns (006-000772) on a tag with no security threads nor an embroidered "CH".

It's the only Chrome Hearts listing in his closet, and it sold a few days ago. The Rolling Stones' band name is misspelled "KOLLJNGSTONES" on the front, and the serial number + barcode tag has an invalid barcode embroidered (not printed) on the tag, rendering it unscannable (it's just a jagged grouping of parallel stitches..).

I used to live very close to (and shop a lot at) the original CH townhouse in NYC. i can spot a fake pretty well as I have a lot of authentic things to compare. jono79 @qualitycost Approximately 90-95% of my collection is real, but I do have a few replicas that are at least convincing enough to be wearable (no misspellings, etc). I'd never sell them, and damn sure wouldn't try to sell them to someone as real at jacked-up prices, but for the prices I paid I'm not too torn up. Early on, I did get myself ripped off a few times (Celtic Cross, Paper Chain w/black CZ Baby Fat charm) while learning. It royally sucks dropping authentic prices and ending up with fakes.

I don't know how those prices can make sense unless even wholesale prices have skyrocketed in recent years and those are all very old stock. The wholesale price on multi-link bracelets like those sold here by that seller for $90-100 is currently $1000. If they're real, some buyers got some amazing deals -- if not, they're at least not going to get them laughed at and they didn't crazy overpay.

jono79 That hat of ethman100's is a superfake -- the S/N is too narrow and the S/N has been reused on other fakes. This one's printed straighter than most of them, though. I once (briefly) fell victim to one like this (but all black) from lilcookie789 -- thankfully, I figured it out on arrival and returned it for a refund rather than accepting it. It had the same S/N. The top button is also hollow and non-sterling but looks VERY real, and the patch is a little undersized. All other details are perfect.

That's pretty much it for the B&W CH Hollywood truckers under $390... I don't see any legit red, white & blue hats for under $390 (and I stopped looking above that)... including that Fhat of wawas_hypes, whose vintage B&W CH hat may be real, but his RW&Blue F hat unfortunately isn't.

Compare with 4gseller's on Grailed; Chompers is right-side-up on both of his Concept hoodies. That barcode tag is the best fake barcode tag I've seen so far. Sorry to steer you wrong there -- cancel now if you can, or decline to accept and return it upon arrival.

jono79 @qualitycost When you see those chintzy dual-logo hang tags, eggplant-shaped CHxCDG hang tags, black hang tags with a white "CH" or "EH" in the corner, or solid white hang tags with a white embossed horizontal scroll logo, those CH items can automatically be assumed to be counterfeit. The narrow white hang tags with the black metal rings around the holes, on the other hand... (see @globalapperal72 's closet for examples of legit hang tags that usually get cut off by the cashier at purchase)

I did like the replica Classic Oval ring I got from here enough to keep and wear, and the price was OK, but the fake hat had to go back. Chrome Hearts also makes no such eyewear model named "CH8110". A little Googling will show that the pair she has for sale are not Plonkers. Also, check out the wonky letter alignment in the logo on that box: the 'E' alone is rotated about 30° clockwise. Please don't allow yourself to be scammed out of $450.

I'm guessing @bkp1214's old and inactive Poshmark account was hacked and the scammer is now flooding Poshmark with fakes using it, as has recently happened with a bunch of other accounts listing the same fakes. The toppled-over/rotated lettering on the bag behind it is a dead giveaway (the 'E' at the end of "CHROME" especially).

There's no legit pair of CH shorts in that (gaudy) style that I've ever seen -- and some of the letters (especially the 'O' in "CHROME") in the logo across the front are crooked/rotated. Don't get yourself scammed.

That hat has a misshapen non-sterling top button, six brim stitch lines (should be four), inner headband rib stitching (should be flat w/only edge stitching), incorrect mesh weave pattern, a mis-shaped snapback strap, and incorrect tags/tag order (that are even attached to the hat incorrectly).

Chrome Hearts makes no such open style as that, identical knockoffs are all over 3tsy for like $10-$20, and they can be ordered straight from their Asian sources for under $6 USD ($8 SGD).

On the white shirt you asked about, the 'O' is rotated on the rear logo (its center bar should point straight at the center of the inner PlusCross), the PlusCross tips are too rounded, the arm says "FOCI" not "FOTI" and this shirt has no Joe Foti characters at all (so it shouldn't even say "FOTI"), and the rear fabric tag shouldn't exist on T-shirts, plus several letters (most obv, 'O' + 'E' in "CHROME") are rotated/toppled over.

jono79 @localluxury Sorry, I missed seeing the second (first?) tag earlier for darkwlrd2x's paper chain bracelet w/cross -- would need to see the clasp insert to know 100% for sure on that one, but the indented impression around the CH and date don't look right and the cutout for the clasp insert eject button looks way too wide. I don't believe it's real, especially at that price.

Granted, as long as it arrives and is actually sterling silver, you didn't make out too bad at that $140 price, just please don't try to rip someone off by trying to flip it for more; it'll bite you.

jono79 @lotsip The fleurs should go all the way to the edges of the links, not end before a sharp cutoff on a flat surface. ID blocks like these should also have logo plaques on the reverse, not a stampted text logo. See https://www.grailed.com/listings/48707365 for a (nearly identical -- just a heart dagger instead of a regular dagger) example of a real one for comparison. Then there's the fact I saw him completely swap out his photos for one that looks more convincing (the first was pretty bad).

jono79 @lotsip Take a look at his sold LOS ANGELES shirt... Pretty blatantly fake with a missing space between "LOS" and "ANGELES", a barcode tag with an embroidered S/N & barcode (they should be printed so they're scannable), and whose S/N is on countless other fakes in a simple Google search.

I got your tags on ciscccooo's necklace, and the fact he instantly deleted both of your comments should tell you all you need to know, but if not, a quick look at the other CH items in his closet will. Peep the black hoodie's tag.. also embroidered S/N + barcode -- unscannable, redundant tag and print at neck. The Sex Records hat, 'S' at the end of the tag's logo is practically falling off the scroll.

jono79 @lotsip His bracelet, same poorly stamped logo as on bababoi's, and same issue with too-small fleur crosses on its fancy links (they don't quite reach the edges). His gold necklace and "ruby" bracelet, the letters in the logo on the bags are toppled all over each other, and the gem settings lack the distinctive triangular cuts from the surrounding silver that form CH's prongs -- those settings are just added dots of silver/vermeil/alloy/whatever.

jono79 Yes, that should work. Poshmark has been pretty good to me, as far as being able to return fakes I've received: so far, just one hat that I swear looked real in the pics but was just a better fake than I'd been used to seeing -- and now there are even better replica hats that even have sterling top buttons, so be careful. User gabpre has an example of one of the latest blue ballcap superfakes in his closet. Google its S/N. Fake. Compare with yunglovingkid's REAL hat of the same style. Scary.

jono79 @lotsip If you go after any clothing items, always try Googling the S/N for matches on other items.. no hits and you're probably OK. Results for the same S/N on other items that are clearly not the one you're eyeing buying? Fake. S/Ns should always be unique -- they're individually printed serial numbers, and the barcodes should always match them (you can use an online barcode generator to compare, just leave out the dash in the input), and always be in the same barcode format and S/N typeface.
