@bellasb Wow, thank you! I did do modeling, many years ago, I turn 60 in a week! That picture was made last fall on a Sunday evening after a very long weekend. I truly appreciate your compliment, you have made my day. My modeling career was done many years ago, due to age and my weight! I am confident in my skin and refuse to be called a plus sized model at a size 10 - 12!

@bellasb I have found that when I send a message about my packages being late, nothing is done, however , when the sender of the package sends a message to the Postmaster of 48021, with tracking information, they have appeared on my porch the next day! I have even had Sunday morning delivery happen! But it takes a complaint from the sender, not the receiver! Would you do me a favor and send the letter?

@bellasb An email complaint on the USPS website, that seems to draw the attention of the postmaster boss, the carriers boss, just about everyone. Here is the issue. i do my shopping by mail, I have a carrier that arrives here well after 6pm, anything she has left in her truck she takes back as too much to deliver for the day! Then it goes back to the distribution center.

She needs to retire! She took a month off and I had no troubles at all. If my informed delivery said I had 5 packages coming that day I got 5, with her, I will get 1, that one will be the one that goes in my mailbox! Anything bigger she returns! She is lazy! Ever since I went in and talked to her boss, it got worse! But if others complain, they have to listen!

I bought the rest of the matching outfit and received it by FedEx three days later, the cami was mailed from a store! So far, since she has had the pandemic excuse, I have had 8 lost packages! Eventually the seller gets the package back, or they get a refund and so do I.

@jilltrabbit I think that’s automatic, assuming seller hadn’t shipped. Your package almost there so can’t be canceled! I went on USPS, could only find tracking which tells us it’s moving. Didn’t see complaints So typed in complaints, n just got standard FAQ. Maybe you could do it anyway, even tho you say results are slower— at least the complaint would be registered. Then let’s see what happens tomorrow when they open? I feel badly, but the world is not functioning at its best now—-

@bellasb It wasn't your box today! You should see the load of crap I got, seller blocked me when I started conversation about her not shipping for 5 days, I wish I had canceled now! So bad that we can't put bad marks on bad sellers on Poshmark, they can just keep selling, I am going to quit buying without reading all the reviews, making sure they aren't friends outside of Poshmark selling the same item back and forth to pump sales.

@bellasb Good question, but the items I got were nothing more than Salvation Army $1 a piece on Friday poppin tag pulls. Very sleek pics from manufacturers then her hand in the way of flaws, like rips in blouses, then, darkening photos to cover extensive fading! Lesson learned. Huge box with everything thrown in with some scrap paper, not even a thank you!

@bellasb Agreed! She gave me a novel on how I am the problem, not her, because she waited 5 days to ship then threw ripped, faded, OLD, and OVERPRICED Items in a huge used box and threw some crumpled up paper in it, not tissue.

As per your comments above, you can certainly take up a case for a return with poshmark regarding the box you received from another seller if your items were not as described (this is key - not as described). @bilyanab I have a horrible mail carrier, I swear that she spends her lunch break in her vehicle smoking and drinking a 6 pack or a bottle of Vodka! I get my mail that smells so strongly of smoke! I often go to the porch to get my packages after dark to keep her from throwing them against the house! She smells so strongly of alcohol 🍸 that I could get a contact drunk 🥴! Grrr

@jilltrabbit do you sew your own historic gowns? I like fashion history , have a huge collection of antique clothing books, enjoy creating garments without a pattern, drafting patterns from vintage tailoring systems, etc. I helped design and sew costumes for theatre when I was in university. :)

@graceclothingco I also worked for theatre but in the professional capacity after volunteering for a project my skills were discovered by the IATSE local union and I was hired! I have worked for some pretty prominent people in my career, but that was awhile ago, now I am just a retired Gramma! I still do sew and yes I pick apart vintage pieces, and repair, even restore vintage items... you learn a lot working with people on Broadway show tours, those are some very resourceful people!

@jilltrabbit I remember one time the opera professor overseeing a rehearsal didn’t like the hat someone had bought for the heroine of “she loves me,” so I ran back to the costume room and folded up a concoction out of scraps and pinned it together and she LOVED it Roflol
It looked a little like the wide, soft hats worn by girls around 1900 but ‘twas smaller, as of course this was set in the 1930s.

@jilltrabbit I had already sewn her suit costume from a vintage pattern but I made a mistake and sewed the lining to the hem of the outer layer so it wrinkled all up and the costume headmistress had to unpick that part and hem the lining and outer skirt separately. :) That’s how I learned so much.... making mistakes hahaha

@winelover0626 I have friends who live there! I can tell you the time of year to visit is not August 116°, at 3pm is not comfortable, even with air conditioned seats in the car! But I was in ABQ with a friend opening a hotel, my friend said come over, so I did! it was a whirlwind vacation that I will never forget! The two nights before I went home I insisted on treating my friend to Ojo, where silence is the rule, she never shuts up, lol.

The USA has an infrastructure that is really like a third world country and we all live like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand, we all need to be prepared to exist without power. I do wear some pants, but I have been kayaking in a dress, often go hiking in a dress, and in the past year I can count on both hands how many times I actually wore pants! 😅 Dresses are one item away from nudity, however, NOT that one in my profile picture!

I don't know that I ever stop mixing and matching many of the skirts, chemise' ( both full length and short), corsets ( I buy those) cuffs, ruffs, headpieces ( both bought and handmade) wings ( always floral designs that I spend hours on) I am thinking of doing rather abstract wings of fresh flowers this year! Fresh flowers in my hair too! Then letting them dry in silica gel.
