It was never wet as far drenched or soaked. Occasional raindrops maybe not nothing out of daily use .

@twoo2475 I accepted. I love the bag style and will try different remedies. I have four Patricia Nash bags and none have quite that strong of smell. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't mold or pet stuff---you know.
