ebenspalding @alex_pluss I really do like the watch. But because I haven’t seen this watch in person and I have to go just off of a few pictures, I can’t personally justify offering a price near the number your asking for, even if it is truly worth that amount. Regards, Eben

alex_pluss @ebenspalding I understand. But just keep in mind that I would be removing it at this month's end. And I tell you what, consider making an offer that you think would be fair to you. You never know, I might let it go! Either way, no pressure. And I thank you for your interest. I just hate letting it go to someone (like a local jewelry store) that won't appreciate it's beauty and age. Thanks again!

ebenspalding @alex_pluss (1/2) Before I can make an educated offer, there appears to be some conflicting details in your post that I am hoping you can clear up. Wittnauer was purchased by Longines in 1950, however this watch is listed as a wittnauer-longines that was manufactured in the 1930s. Based on this, the watch is either a (pre-Longines) Wittnauer from the 1930s, or a true W-L from the 1950s. Additionally, the watch face only says “Wittnauer” so I suspect it is a (pre-Longines) Wittnauer.

ebenspalding @alex_pluss (2/2) There should be a serial number located either on the back of the watch, or on the inside of the back cover. If you’re comfortable with doing so, could you please locate the serial number and send it to me? Regards, Eben
