desertdar @allyrae19 - thanks so much for your most kind response - sorry for delay, I was off line. I've been working on the boots, but they aren't getting reconditioned as I hoped. I appreciate your offer for a return - but also want to be sensitive to you as I know you were not aware of the condition. I'm open - either a return, or is there a way to get a partial refund and I will take the boots to a repair shop? Can send photos, but don't see an option here to do so. Yes, I do wildlife work in Africa!

desertdar Ally - you are really sweet - I appreciate it. Honestly didn't want to report a problem with the order at the time of receipt and only let you know when you asked for a review. I don't have an insta account, so perhaps we just let it go. I'm going to take the boots to a repair shop to re-glue the rubber strip where it is undone and see if they might be able to better restore the leather/suede. But thanks for the effort.
