@princessvalene I actually got really sick and they finally figured out I developed celiacs disease, so I can't eat gluten. I lost 135 lbs over the course of 2.5 months. Hence why I was going through so many sizes so quickly. I maintain my weight now with a 100% gluten free diet. My husband who is not celiac also is on the gluten free diet and has lost about 50 lbs since going completely gluten free.

@princessvalene yes I am a million times better now. Over 2-3 days most of my symptoms had gone away that we're constant for 2.5 months. I have to look at every label when I go to the store. I haven't been out to eat in almost 3 years. I don't drink any alcohol anymore (even though some alcohols are gluten free) either. Fast food is pretty much 100% out too. I cook every meal at home and I have to avoid anything with wheat, barley, rye, and oats. If I'm not sure if something is gluten free or not by reading the ingredients...(wheat has to be listed by law, but barley rye and oats don't...) I just don't eat it. Fruits and veggies r naturally gluten free as is meat that isn't pre-seasoned. Lots of seasonings and thickeners (canned soups, gravies, ect) have gluten. It's a pretty complicated diet... It was very hard in the beginning but at the time I was so sick I was just happy to be able to eat without getting sick afterward... I was pretty much starving to death even though I was trying to eat... My body just couldn't absorb anything I was eating. Since ur not actually celiac u wouldn't have to be as anal or careful as I have to be as far as cross contamination ect. For example, a snickers bar is gluten free, but they r produced on the same line as Milky Way bars that r not gluten free so it's possible they may have some wheat in them. I can't eat them but u could and be fine. Same with Hershey bars. The regular size ones are gluten free, but the fun sizes r made with run off chocolate from their other candy bars, so those contain gluten. Very complicated, but time will train you to know these things and once u start researching and contacting companies you catch on pretty quickly.:-)

@princessvalene no problem. I'm always happy to help anyone on a gluten free journey. It was hard for me but I relied heavily in the celiac community to help me out. That goes for anyone else who may stumble across this posting that needs help with the gluten free lifestyle as well. I'm always happy to help where I can. Just send me ur email and any questions and I will try to help if I can.:-)
