mah2791 @rkjessup Unfortunately, I don’t have experience with Red Wings or the AE Higgins Mill though I do have AE loafers and sneakers - but those fits are all over the place. I’m a pretty standard 9D US, 8F UK, and 42 EU for most brands (Crockett & Jones, Loake, Thursday, DM, Hackett) and these fit me too snugly. They fit me more like a 9B or 8.5D US.

rkjessup @mah2791 Based on that there is no way they would fit me. What do you think of the leather - does it feel like shell cordovan? And what is the waxy feel - it makes me think of waxed flesh. Thanks for your help with this - I'm trying to figure this leather and brand out!

mah2791 @rkjessup This is the only pair of shell cordovan I've handled, so I can't make a comparison. As for the waxiness, they're not waxy in the same way my pair of Loake Gisbourne in Dark Brown Waxy is. I wonder if these are called waxy because the finish has a matte-ish depth to it rather than the typical shiny shell cordovan finish.
