Mechanical Advertising Art Nouveau 1915 Commonwealth Metal Litho Antique Bank

This listing is for an Art Nouveau mechanical bank. The lithography is amazing. According to the back, this was made by Shonk works, American Can Company, Maywood, Illinois , patent, September 19, 1905, patent March 9, 1951. The lever on the front moves both up and down smoothly. The total reads 1.00, but the bank is empty. I cannot figure out how to reset it or open the bottom hatch. The directions read "When ten dollars is deposited 0000 will appear in the front dial of the register. The door on the bottom will the open automatically. Remove all the coins and close the door". I have also not tried to deposit a coin. It really is in exceptional condition. It measures approximately 5" tall, 5 1/4" deep and by 4" wide. Buy with confidence, careful packaging promised.
