Mayan marble carved statues / bookends

A substantial pair of tall, carved, tribal marble bookends, sculptures, or decorative objects, circa 1970s. Marble is white, black, grey, and tan. Demonstrated as bookends. Measuring 8" H andweighs about 5 pounds . I bought these from a native while visiting tulum ruins in 2002 I believe.Intricately carved and sculpted and waiting for a good home.
