MaxMara Vintage Linen Tomato Red Blazer Luxury Made in Italy Size 12 This extremely gently worn versatile and functional lightweight blazer is an all-weather wardrobe staple. The warm tomato red shade provides a pop of color to a classically cut one-button blazer. This blazer is quite structured for linen - the fabric has an unexpected heft and the cupro lining helps it retain its shape. There is no stretch in this fabric, so be sure to check the measurements below. The front flap pockets are actual, functional pockets. The chest pocket technically is too but it’s very shallow. There are also some subtle built-in shoulder pads. The metal buttons have a burnished patina from the dry cleaning chemicals but I always thought it gave this blazer character. Full disclosure - I don’t recall exactly when I purchased this. The shoulder pads make me think that it must have been the late 90s. But it could have been the 2000s. Either way, this blazer is beautiful and deserves more life than it’s currently getting in the back of my closet.
