If you love Franco Mints or chocolate, then you will love this book that offers many delectable delights inspired by this sweet Chicago institution.
This particular book was well loved and well used, especially the toffee marble cheesecake on pages 54 and 55, which still bears chocolate smudge marks from the last batch that was made. The rest of the book is in much better condition.
The second book is undated, but much more recent and was published under Macy's ownership. It contains 40 easy recipes and ideas for creating decadent desserts, irresistible confections, and simple gifts with one of the world's favorite chocolates.
Marshall Field's is an American department store chain founded in 1852 by Potter Palmer. It was based in Chicago, Illinois and grew to become a large chain before Macy's, Inc. acquired it sadly in 2005.
Fields introduced its version of the Frango mint in 1929 and manufactured it in its flagship building on Chicago's famed State Street for 70 years.
