Marples & Co Sheffield Electroplated Gold Silverplate Serving Plate

Very good preowned vintage condition. This is a division of.Sheffield silver makers called Marples & Company. Probably made between 1900-1907 this serving dish has a light gold plating over top of its regular silver plate. The stamp on the back is identified as this company and the numbers 5434 are probably the number of the style of the plate. Measuring approximately 12 inches in diameter it has a 3/4 inch indentation in the center. The floral open pattern around the edges is scalloped and quite beautiful. Though this shows signs of age it polished up quite nicely. This beautiful plate could be a wonderful addition to your silver collection because of it unique color and the patterning.
