Marks & Spencer M&S English Guard Soldier Shortbread Tin (Target Collab)

This tin is very cute and perfect for someone who loves English food and culture. It's from the British brand Marks & Spencer. Target stocked it for Christmas 2024. The tin depicts four different English guards/soldiers (King's Guard?), in traditional uniforms, at their posts. The top of the tin resembles a tiled roof and is sloped/triangular. Inside, the tin is a brass color. (The tin originally held shortbread cookies, but is now empty.) The top says, "M&S Food" on both sides. The tin measures approximately 8.25 inches high with the lid on and 7.5 inches high with the lid off. It's approximately 3.25 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. This tin is in very good condition, with just a tiny bit of paint worn away at the tips. There are no dents in the metal. The top fits on the main part of the tin easily and securely. It has been washed and has no smells. Please note that there is leftover residue from the tape that was (originally) used to secure the top to the bottom. That residue is not sticky, but is visible as sort of a white film (see photos). It would probably come off with Goo Gone. There is also a gold "Best Before" sticker on the top. That can probably be scraped off. Target only offered this tin for a short time around Christmas, so this is a great opportunity to get a rare item that is authentically English! Use it in your kitchen, to give as a present (with homemade cookies in it), or just display it. It is a good size and shape for storing pens and pencils.
