Leafs earrings designed by Buccellati.
Beautiful oversized clips-on earrings, made in Milan Italy by the famous jewelry house of Buccellati, back in the late 1970's. These rare pieces were designed with a baroque revival style in the shape of an oversized three dimensional leafs. They was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karat, with the entire surface finished with the characteristic and iconic Buccellati's etched intricate patterns. Fitted with omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Measurements: 32 mm by 31 mm by 6 mm (1.26 x 1.22 x 0.24 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with Italian marks, the maker's mark, the assay mark for the 18kt gold, the serial numbers and signed in full, "BUCCELLATI-ITALY .750 13234".
Mario Buccellati, was born in 1891 and opened his first enterprise in 1919, after the establishment of stores in Milan, Rome and Florence, began the development of his overseas business by opening a new store on Fifth Avenue in New York in 1954 and another in Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida in 1958. In 1949, Mario Buccellati was commissioned to create an icon by Pope PiUs XII for Princess Margaret to mark the extraordinary power of the first visit of a British Royal to Vatican City in hundreds of years.
