ssm90 @danamarienielse hi there - there isn’t a shine to the fabric in real life, I think the contrast ribbed fabric just gives the appearance of shine when photographed. Depending on what the event is, I think the dress could definitely be dressed up with shoes/jewelry. Hope this helps! :)
