Maori Handcrafted Kauri Wood Treasure Box Tiki Face Shell Eyes New Zealand

For your consideration is a vintage Māori handcarved Kauri wooden treasure box. It was handcarved in New Zealand. It features a Tekoteko face, a traditional Maori carving, on the lid with inlaid paua shell eyes. The rest of the box has intricate carvings. These boxes are highly coveted. A true treasure for your treasures. Please refer to the photos as they’re part of the description. The box is in very good preowned vintage condition except for the inside. A child wrote Daddy in pencil on the inside bottom. It can probably come off, but I haven’t tried. Size: 5-1/4” by 3-5/8” by 7/8”
