The Waterproof Manitoba Mukluks Snowy Owl is made with waterproof suede and is sealed 4" from the bottom. The footbed is sheepskin lined (like all of our mukluks), is rated to -32C and has a tip vibram sole. The 'mukluk' is an Indigenous word for 'winter boot'. Our ancestors created them thousands of years ago out of natural hides and fur in order to survive in the coldest places in Canada. This Snowy Owl Mukluk is based on our most iconic mukluk style and has been passed down to us from generation to generation. Now as a contemporary Métis company, we continue the tradition by combining modern techniques and materials to make functional mukluks for urban environments. The sole was made in partnership between Vibram and an Indigenous artist.
