Mammut Eisfeld Guide SO Alpine pants The most bomber softshell pant you’ll ever own. Elastic/velcro waist. Ankle Velcro adjustment. Side ventilation. Gore-Tex. Removable elastic overalls. Worn once and unfortunately didn’t fit me.. so I bought another pair and they’re my favorite alpine pant for winter climbing, Ice climbing, mountaineering, and general cold days. Super comfortable, super durable. These bad boys are in immaculate condition! Size 32 waist (though the waist is adjustable which is nice when wearing different layers) Manufacturer Description: Fresh mountain air, birdsong in the pines, fresh snow, that view—this is why you're up here, why you dragged yourself up thousands of vert and woke up so early. The Mammut Men's Eisfeld Guide SO Pant is there for the ascent, so you can share this experience with others. A blend of elastic, breathable softshell and Gore-Tex Infinium means you have all the mobility you need, while still staying dry setting the bootpack or knee deep in pow. You can take the technical route up thanks to harness-compatible pockets, durable construction, and Mammut's Georganic 3D patterning for full mobility on the mountain. Suspenders keep the pants secured to your torso and inner gaiters can be secured to your ski or mountaineering boots, freeing you to keep your eyes on the prize, all the way to the top.

jburciaga1975 I’m climbing Mt Baker this June for a crevasse rescue training course… do you think these pants are meant for that? Do you have a link for specs on these pants? I’m having trouble finding them… thanks

blakejohnson17 @jburciaga1975 hey there, yeah they would be perfect for the crevasse rescue course! I actually took one at Mt. Baker last year and bought these pants after taking the course haha. They’re my favorite alpine pant by far. If you google “Mammut Eisfeld Guide SO pants” you should find them on the Mammut website or Backcountry.com They retail at $440 and I only wore them once. They’re worth a lot more than what you are offering

blakejohnson17 @jburciaga1975 I’m a huge fan of Rab products because of they way they fit. The Rab Latok or Latok paclite. Otherwise you can’t go wrong with Arc’teryx Alpa or beta jackets. Just go for whatever is the lighter option.

blakejohnson17 @jburciaga1975 I can sell you my Mammut Masao HS jacket if you’re interested. I don’t have it on Posh yet but I can throw it up for you. I used it for a season of ice climbing in New Zealand this year, but unfortunately just broke my leg and won’t be climbing anytime soon. Jacket retailed at $300.

blakejohnson17 @jburciaga1975 just listed the jacket on my profile. You’ll love it. Especially if you’re getting into the alpine scene. It’s versatile. And it’s bomber. It’s a true storm shell, but light enough for high energy outputs. Lots of venting options. Lots of storage for when you’re belaying/climbing. You should check out the base layer on my profile too. The TGR continuum. With these 3 items you’ll have a pretty darn nice kit. Perfect for the crevasse course.
