beckyu1012 @lottew Hi Lotte. I’m not sure if I’m going to sell it. I originally bought it to resell, bc I know how rare it is. Now that I have it, I really like it. If I do post it, I will be asking more then double. I’ve seen them go for up to $150 on here. I’m really not trying to be greedy.

beckyu1012 @lottew I care for my 84 y/o Grandma and our house was destroyed by a tornado in October. I have not been able to work much due to all the issues with the insurance company and contractors, and the extra money from the thermals I’m going to sell is to make up for that. I’m so sorry! I know how you feel. I missed a zipper cuff by 15 minutes last week, and I’d been looking for an affordable one for years. I can let you know if and when I post it, if you’re still interested. - Becky

lottew @beckyu1012 @beckyu1012 hello thanks for your long and kind reply. I am sorry about the tornado and and insurance issues - I hope it works out and that in heart you can feel at home again too. It also kind that you care for your grandma so I understand that you need to make extra money. if you decide to resell it please give me a heads up I am interested.

beckyu1012 @lottew I’m sorry you feel this way, but you are mistaken on quite a few points. First, the exact reason these thermals are so expensive is bc they are rare, no longer made, and still in high demand. These are collectors items for many Poshers including myself, which makes it worth more. It’s the same with the 100 degree dress. They often sell for double the original price.

beckyu1012 @lottew Second, $70 is not double what I paid for this top. I know you are new to Poshmark, so I will be happy to tell you how it works. With tax and shipping I paid $39. If I sell it Poshmark will take 20% of the amount I sell it for. So for you to “double “ what I paid, you would have to pay $98.

beckyu1012 @lottew Third, I have only seen three of this exact top sell for less than $90. If you notice the ones that sold at a lower prices have much older sale dates, likely when this top was more available or still in stores. I have also seen 6 that sold for between $90-$150. The more rare they are, the more expensive they are. I know dozens of Posher’s who have paid over $150 for their “unicorn “ thermal.

beckyu1012 @lottew Fourth, everyone on Poshmark is reselling something. That’s the whole point of Poshmark. As a seller you can choose any price you would like. My prices are what the items are worth to me. If an item doesn’t sell I lower the price, or in this case will keep it for myself. I see you have not listed or sold anything, so you might not know about Posh etiquette. It is extremely rude to post in someone’s closet that their price “is not proportionate of fair”.

beckyu1012 @lottew We are here to help each other sell items, not post insulting comments about someone who bought something that you wanted. We are all adults here, and should act as such. Even the initial comment was very pushy. I should not have to defend myself, or sell an item I just purchased bc you really want it. I suggest reading over the posh etiquette information.

beckyu1012 @lottew Finally, I have not even decided if I will be selling this top. It’s a great addition to my collection. It is NWOT in perfect condition. I would be happy to trade for a small purple zipper cuff or a small purple Kyoto in the same condition. If I decide to sell I will let you know, but it will not be $70. I suggest you continue looking. I have learned that eventually you will find the items you are searching for. Just be patient. Good luck! 😊
