Mackenzie Childs Courtly Check "Espalier" Brass Fireplace Tool Set

Rare Courtly Check MacKenzie Childs "Espalier" fireplace tool set. Rare find made in 2011 in Aurora, NY. Tree branch texturing and a Courtly Check pear finial lend quintessential style to these tools. Cast brass framework with antiqued-rasa leaves. Tools are cast brass. Handmade and hand decorated majolica pear on top. The set is missing the hand formed glass leaf. Base is majolica pottery made in Aurora and hand painted as seen in photo. This piece measures: Base 12" square. Total height is 36". Tools are 28" - 29" tall. This amazing tool set is now retired. The piece is in very good condition. BACKGROUND: I purchased this several years ago at an estate sale. The set has been used, therefore, it is not a bright & shiny brass. Could it be - yes! ....... if you choose to polish it back to the originial shine. Please know that the 4 "tree limbs" that hold the tools are not the same height. Two are higher and the same height - the other two are lower - but at the same height. That is the way it was when I purchased it. Not sure if that is how it was made - but I wanted to point it out.
