Mabel Lucie Attwell Boo Boos Illustration by Valentines & Sons Novelty Calendars

This illustration is from Mabel Lucie Attwell, a British female illustrator who based her drawings on her daughter. Her work appeared on post cards, advertisements, calendars, posters, books and figurines. She lived from 1879 - 1964. The calendar pages on this item are missing, but the back side indicates it was a novelty calendar by Valentine's & Sons publishing. It is inscribed "Xmas 1929, The Seasons Greetings to you. Mattie." Her signature is included on the bottom right corner. I think this makes a great part of a Valentine's or Spring display. Condition is very good for age. The top right corner is slightly bent upward and the calendar pages are missing. Measures 7.5" x 5.25". G50C020821
