MCM Signed Walter Moorcroft Cream Oval Dish Coral Hibiscus Pattern

Vintage 1940's England ceramicware Walter Moorcroft signed oval cream colored bowl featuring coral hibiscus blossoms. Signature and "Made in England" are on the bottom. Moorcroft the brand is known for its organically-inspired floral patterns. A style characterized by tube lining, a method which created a line design through a raised slip technique. All Moorcroft pottery have marks on the base. Initials will indicate the painter or tube liner and stamp that it was made in England. Approx dimensions: 9 in long 5.25 in wide 2 in deep Condition: Excellent condition. Amazingly, this pottery piece does not appear to have any crazing. However, I did detect a couple of small scratches that are hard to see and photograph.
