Vintage Lusterware Vingar&Oil Creuet Salt&Pepper Set Periwinkle Flora Butterfly Motif Japan So lovely Hand Painted with the prettiest Porcelain luster of Periwinkle! In Good condition with no chips or cracks. Time Line (1920's-1940's) Approx: Vinegar Creuet 5"T x 2 1/2" W weighing 4.5 ounce Oil Creuet 5"T x 2 1/2" W weighing 4.5 ounce. Salt & Pepper 2 1/2" T x 1 1/2" W weighing 1.7 ounce each A Bit of History: Japanese lusterware was primarily produced between the mid-1920s and the 1940s. Specifically, from 1921 to 1941, pieces intended for the US export market were marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan". Earlier pieces, from 1891 to 1921, were marked with "Nippon". After World War II, from 1947 to 1952, some pieces were marked "Made in Occupied Japan" I do have other lovely lusterware items listed if interested.
