Please be considerate and respectful of my listed prices. I take really good care of my items and I'm slowly buying items brand new to sell as well!! I am willing to negotiate for a reasonable price, not more than 50%+ off! Most of my prices are pretty reasonable to begin with, in my opinion. Plus, 50% of all my proceeds go to the National MS Society!! π The chart is a great guide for making an offer. Any questions, just ask, I'm friendly and always willing to work with you! π

Why is it that no matter how many times I post this in my closet, no one seems to get it?

@indiashea42 ~ I don't know! It wasn't until I posted this and the percentage chart that I stopped getting ridiculous offers.

@jmtaries I have charts, people drowning under lowball offers, and I have clearly said if you offer the green row, no problem, yellow row..I may negotiate, or I may leg you have it, but red row or lower*no*. Please stop wasting everyone's time by offering me $6 for a $15 item!
May I use your sign as well?

@indiashea42 ~ So sorry to hear that you're still having so many issues. I understand the economy is rough and with the recent shipping increase, people tend to want to negotiate. However, that's fine, just don't be insulting.
You are more than welcome to use my sign! I love making the signs that I think will catch the eye of the buyer, etc. You know? I hope it helps!!

@rosieismypuppy - That's sometimes a difficult feat to overcome on Posh. Especially w/ gently used items. I keep my clothes in amazing shape as well, however, people do love a deal. I made the first picture & then added the percentage breakdown to it. It seemed to help a TON!! Once I had this listed in my closet, I stopped receiving such lowball offers. Now, I receive reasonable ones & I'm much more willing to negotiate with someone because of it. Does that make sense?

Sometimes just having it said in your profile or "Meet Your Seller" isn't enough, I think the visual aid made the difference for my shoppers.

rosieismypuppy
@jmtaries what is the percentage breakdown

@jmtaries I can't seem to copy and paste this onto my page how do you do that
Feb 27Reply

jmtaries
@rosieismypuppy - If you are using a cell phone, you can screenshot the images and then crop them to use. Posh doesn't allow you to "save" a photo, at least, I haven't been able to do it yet. Haha

@rosieismypuppy - Your listing looks great!!!

OK I got that posted now how do I get people to buy more stuff I'm wondering when people like my clothes or bundle them but don't push the button is there something I can comment to them that would motivate them that's acceptable if so what would that be
Feb 27Reply

jmtaries
@rosieismypuppy - Follow anyone that "likes" your listings. Then comment on that listing letting them know of any deals you're having, what your bundle deal is, etc. for example, right now, my bundle deal is this:
"Thanks for the like. π Bundles of 2-3 items are 10% off and 4+ are 30% (just ask me and I'll adjust my discount). π
Offers are also welcome. Have a great day! π"

I'm having a Kids Items Sale, so if they like any kids clothes, I refer to the sale. If you see someone make a bundle, but hasn't pulled the trigger, comment (with tagging them) and say something like: "I noticed you started putting a bundle together. If there are any questions I can answer, please don't hesitate to ask". Sometimes I will even sweeten the deal by upping my bundle percentage if they purchase today.

rosieismypuppy
@jmtaries what do I do if somebody is in bundling but just likes my item and hasn't pushed the button
Feb 27Reply

jmtaries
@rosieismypuppy - Meaning, they've started a bundle, but haven't bought it or done anything with it?
Feb 27Reply

rosieismypuppy
@jmtaries no they have liked one item and haven't made an offer
Feb 27Reply

jmtaries
@rosieismypuppy - Oh, I make sure I follow them, share their listings if have any, then I comment on the item they liked Thanking them for liking my item, letting them know they can ask me any questions they have and also let them know what my bundle specials are or any sales I'm having.
Feb 27Reply

rosieismypuppy
@jmtaries ok I will try that

@rosieismypuppy - Good Luck! Let me know how you're doing now and then! π

I get the same thing it really makes me mad. I have a brand new dress in my closet $54.95 I never wore it I took it on vacation thinking I could wear it was just too long for me. I'm asking $20 for it never worn still has tags I've had two people offer me $11 and $9. They've got to be kidding me and the one lady had sweaters that will worn in her closet for 65!!!

Also what makes me the most infuriated if I took my stuff to a resale shop they would give me maybe $3 but they would turn around a resell my dresses or my tops for anywhere from $10 to $30 so basically what Poshmark you're cutting out the middleman you're selling it for yourself why should we expect less than what a resale shop would sell it for. Someone actually offered me $3 for a set of pajamas that I had $7 on why would I want to make $0.05
Mar 16Reply

jmtaries
@misskimmytou - Yeah. I get with the shipping, it's costly or at least can be..... but, there are Closets like mine & yours and a lot of my PFF's, whee
Mar 16Reply

jmtaries
@misskimmytou - sorry, I set my phone down and my daughter tapped the screen and posted the comment. Haha
........ where we take really good care of our items/inventory and price them accordingly. You know?! I'm willing to work with someone, I get it, I'm a one income family. Times are hard, but don't offer me $3 on a $10+ item that has already been dropped 30%+, etc.
Mar 16Reply

misskimmytou
@jmtaries I thought that was missing mire π I take very good care of my clothes I'm a single mom I do this almost now full-time and run a business. And even with one income doing the best you can it's so hard. I take very good care of my clothes and I spend a lot of time placing you inventory please do not insult my intelligence. We're all looking for a bargain even me but I feel here I should respect someone's prices unless it's completely way off

@misskimmytou - You're Superwoman!! πͺπΌ
I totally agree though. I sold a maxi dress. I wore it once. I sold it for $15. Saw someone else selling it worn for $30!! It blows my mind. It also blows my mind how we can receive those crazy offers and there are other Poshers out there selling items for $100's!! I want to know their secret!! π
I've always dreamt of owning my own Boutique-style store. Since I can't really work, this is kind of my way of doing that. I love it!!

Great chart! There will always be lowballers around, and time wasters...time wasters are my least favorite.

@lhelmy - Please read. Thank you. π

@denisesettti - I just got tired of all the lowball offers. I consider the chunk that Poshmark takes and whatnot. I also don't mind lowering the bundle price to include shipping, but I don't get any profit from this. I donate 50% of my earnings. The rest I put right back into Poshmark: shipping materials, packaging, thank you cards, ribbon, stickers, etc.
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - Not to mention, I have OCD, so I take REALLY good care of my items!! They're basically "like new", so I price accordingly. It's not like you're getting garage sale items. You know?
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - How did the posting $12 and under are firm go? Did it hurt your sales at all??
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - I have a mannequin! My mom bought me one for my birthday, always the supporter! π
However, we are moving soon, so I didn't want to take it out of the box just yet.
Shipping on wholesale is crazy!! I think they should do a sliding scale. Like 1-5 items = $-- for shipping, 5-10 items = a little higher shipping, etc.
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - I definitely will!! I've lost over 80lbs myself. I'm in a XL shirt because of the ππ, hahaha!!! Size 14 pants/shorts! So, I will definitely tag you and let you know if and when I get smaller! I've gotten rid of the majority of my "Plus Size" clothes so far. I buy new stuff on here since I'm still in the process of losing weight. Don't want to keep buying brand New when I drop 10lbs in a month! Hahaha
Congrats on your weight loss!!
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - That's great!! Lots of changes, but all good ones! I will check the tea out! Thanks!!!!
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - Yeah. I know that too! I have so many bras that I can't use! Smaller sizes, bigger sizes. Mine haven't changed size too much, I may end up needing a reduction. π²
Apr 15Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - I've seen people selling bras that were worn, but in great shape. I wonder if that's along their compliance rules?
Apr 16Reply

jmtaries
@denisesettti - Hahahahahaha!!!!
I have NO issue negotiating because well, the shipping price IS kind of a bit of change.... but 50+% off?? Come on now!
