Lovely Lace Lavished Taupe Twill Victorian Museum Dress - Wearable

This lovely dress dates to the latter 1800s. It is a museum deacquisition being sold on their behalf. NOTE: it does need some repair, mostly some torn lace, and has some rust and age spots or stains that may soak out. The dress is masterfully constructed and hand sewn. We did not have a full size mannequin to show this on and the ruffle should hang down from skirt, not spread out as shown in photo. Overall length of dress would be about 56 inches from base of neck to bottom of ruffle. Top: Waist is about 26 inches. Across the back under the arms is 14 inches wide but due to the loose blouson front, should accommodate at least a 32" bust size, possibly to 36" or a little more. The length of the top at center back is 16.5 inches. Skirt: waist is about 20 inches, length is about 40 inches at center front. ALL OF OUR ITEMS ARE FROM A SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE ENVIRONMENT.
