Lovely Gold & Purple Sterling Silver Vintage Ring Signed

This pretty vintage ring is stamped 925 and possibly FPA. The letters are difficult to read. Purple gem is likely either a synthetic sapphire or spinel. It has minor scuffs, typical for its age. Even prettier in person! Questions welcome. From a smoke free home.
