brothernef Stay healthy and play Shortstop or whatever position as long as you can brother. It's one of my Greatest Gifts from God. I played against George Washington High School with Manny Ramirez and his team in 1989. I played SS and Center field for my team, the JFK Knights here in The Bronx, NYC.

brothernef We played at their field because they were 23-0. We beat them 14-10!😁 Then my team and I got to play for the Championship at the Old Yankee Stadium. We lost 7-4, but just to play there was a Miraculous and Spiritual experience. Manny Ramirez went straight to AAA. I went to Division 1 College at Fordham University here in The Bronx. I was doing well, but in my Junior year I severed two tendons/ligaments in my left wrist diving for a pop-up near the left field foul line while playing SS.

brothernef That ended my Baseball career because I lost my bat speed and ability to play at the highest collegiate level. I was heartbroken, but I was more grateful that God blessed me with all the memories from 9 years old up until the injury.
