Louis Vuitton S/S 2001 Stephen Sprouse Rose Skirt

This is an ICONIC AND EXTREMELY RARE printed silk skirt with Crinoline, from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2001 collection, created in collaboration with Stephen Sprouse. Condition: New with Runway Tags Size: 34 FR Dimensions: • Waist: 60–62 cm (about 23.5–24.5 in) • Hips: 86–88 cm (about 33.5–34.5 in) • Skirt length (mid-calf) around 70–75 cm (27–29 in) from waistband to hem. Materials: • Outer layer: sheer silk organza printed with Stephen Sprouse’s hand-painted rose motif (digitally transferred from his original artwork). • Base layer / lining: fine silk satin or crepe, depending on the production batch. Some runway samples had a slightly heavier crepe to give the skirt more opacity. • Structure: light crinoline tulle or a nylon mesh between layers to give it volume without stiffness. The aim was that airy “petal float” when walking. • Waistband: silk satin, often with a hidden side zipper and internal grosgrain band for reinforcement.
