Louis Vuitton Monogram Danube 15 Vintage Mini Bag

Year: 1987 This item is an authentic, vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram Danube 15. I purchased it preloved without the strap and chaps with the intention of using it as a catch-all pouch. The leather chaps, rivets and D-rings are not original LV. They were fastened by a local leathersmith. Unfortunately, they are not functional. When a purse strap is attached the weight of the contents flips the bag upside down (zipper facing downward). The leathersmith had originally suggested placing them at the top sides but I wanted to cover the stitching holes left by the missing chaps. The small perforations are visible in the photo of the interior. With the exception of the perforations left by the original stitching (only seen in the interior) the canvas is in very good condition with visible signs of use evident by the stretch and loss of shape. The vachetta (leather) piping shows moderate (dark) patina with small cracks throughout. The top zipper opens to a brown cross-grained leather interior that is clean and well maintained.
