The stunning Monogram Leopard Steamer bag was the crown jewel of the Fall/Winter 2006 collection by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. It was carried by Kate Moss in the print ad campaigns for the collection. Produced in very limited quantities and no longer available, the Steamer is crafted of pleated trademark Monogram Canvas and leopard print sheared calf hair accents first created by artist Stephen Sprouse. Golden watersnake (Karung) trim is used throughout the bag and handles to add an additional touch of luxury to an already exquisite large bag. The removable three-ring acrylic chain also features a matching leopard print design. A patent black leather base features protective metal feet.
The Steamer is traditionally used as a travel bag, but the Monogram Leopard Steamer has adjustable side straps which allows you to transform the travel bag into a large everyday tote. Be prepared to be the center of attention when carrying this incredible work of art! Retail price is $7,700.
Excellent condition. The exterior is in beautiful condition. The monogram canvas is perfect. Only slight signs of lightening but absolutely no bald spots to leopard fur trim on the bottom corners. Well cared for and in collectible condition. The watersnake handles and trim have some slight darkening from use. The goldtone hardware has slight surface scratches. The interior suede lining is very clean and in excellent condition. Sold with clochette keys, lock and strap.
