poecloset Hello! :) I just wanted to ask about shipping insurance! :) If Poshmark only ensures $50 and this item gets stolen in shipping, and stops scanning or just doesn’t get delivered, do you print your own label to ensure it for the full amount, or do you use the Poshmark label for $50! :) Thank you! :)

asbrandley @poecloset Hello!! That actually is an excellent question!! One that I hadn’t thought about. I had a seller once request to over night them a bag so they could get it by Christmas Eve. I went to UPS and we did our own label where the customer paid for shipping over the phone. He insured it for the full price of the bag. Poshmark wasn’t happy about it but there was no other way he could have gotten it in time. Maybe we should send your question to Poshmark.

asbrandley @poecloset I wonder Who would be liable for the lost bag? I assume it would be my loss because Poshmark doesn’t release your money to me until after you have received the bag. Hopefully they would be responsible for the lost item and have that kind of insurance built-in because they are making so much money off of each sale the seller makes.

asbrandley @poecloset At Christmas time when I overnighted that bag to the customer Poshmark was angry with me for doing so. They said we had to use their labels so they can track it in case something like that should happen. Maybe that means they are liable?

I asked them point blank who would be liable the seller or them because sellers have no other choice than to use their labels. I’ll let you know when I hear back!! Thanks for asking the question!!

asbrandley @poecloset Good Morning!! I finally got a solid answer to my email from Poshmark regarding compensation if an item is lost or damaged in shipping. They assured me that if we use their shipping label they are liable for 100% of the price of the item. They told me there is no $50 limit to the insurance. I have it in writing now from them should this problem ever arise. Thank you again for asking about this!!
