dcprest Hi! Does it actually zip all the way up or no?

emilyinbeverly @dcprest no the zipper is off the track on one side. It doesn’t zip at all. It needs to be repaired. If it worked I would charge 348 because Louis Vuitton wants $200 to fix the zipper.

emilyinbeverly @dcprest somebody will want it and not care if it has an off brand zipper in which case it would cost $10 to repair but you’ve now put an aftermarket part that’s not made by the brand on the product so it won’t be able to sell authentic Louis Vuitton. That’s why I’m selling it broken.

emilyinbeverly @dcprest I mean if you have pliers and you’re smarter than me you can fix it you might be able to get it to work, but I’m not gonna sell it with the guarantee that you can but if that’s a place at all, you can’t sell it as an authentic Louis Vuitton product

dcprest @emilyinbeverly I understand, unfortunately I only have one cobble in my area and he I brought this exact bag in to have the zipper repaired a few months ago and he charged me $75 😭 cobblers are expensive these days since there’s fewer and fewer of them

emilyinbeverly @dcprest well I would advise that he were playing it with only Louis Vuitton parts. That’swny Louis Vuitton charges a premium because then you can say that all the parts on it are authentic I mean yes you can sell it with offbrand parts but you’re only supposed to do it It’s an add-on not if it’s an original part of the item replaced with an aftermarket one
