This bag does expand because it has two sides. each side unzips, like a garment bag, or you can pack each side It's a very nice size bag with plenty of room on each pocket strap drop is a little over eighteen inches.If you're using the strap to carry it. please see photos one of the leather straps has some fraying and separation it doesn’t effect functionality where the separation is. can be repaired easily please see photos the bag has some water marks to the leather tag but it doesn’t bother me adds to the aging of the bag. The bag is functional and any damage noted can be easily repaired. If you have any questions please ask.
