Louis Armstrong, a legendary jazz musician, made his first recordings in 1923. He is known for hits like "What a Wonderful World," released in 1967. By the end of his career, he sold over 3.8 million records. Armstrong passed away in New York City on July 6, 1971, and is buried in Flushing Cemetery in Queens. He wrote two autobiographies and spoke out against school segregation in 1957.
