Lot of (2) Vintage Blue Quilted Satin Square Vanity Boxes These vanity boxes can be used for gloves, handkerchiefs, hosiery, jewelry, scarves or trinkets. The boxes' top exterior and sides (both exterior & interior) are covered in light blue quilted satin. The top is secured to the body with a bowed 'rope', which is still taunt enough that the top must be held open or it will close. One box has a blemish/scuff/wear on the satin-covered top exterior in the middle near the opening (see photos #1 & #6) and right front corner (see photos #2 & #3). Otherwise, the exterior & interior satin on both boxes is in beautiful condition with no other signs of wear or damage. As for the white-colored top and bottom interior, see photo #7. One box has a noticeable discoloration and pink-colored stains on the top interior and fainter stains on the bottom interior as well as a mark on the underside (see photo #8). The other box has some faint brown-colored discolorations visible on the top & bottom white interior. Please review the photos closely for condition. We found no markings, branding or logos on the items to help us further identify them. As they were long in possession of our relative, we believe they date from sometime between the 1950's & 1970's - making them about fifty years old or more.
