Lord Nelson Pottery Mug "Thirsty Days" Golden Brown 8-71

This is a wonderful vintage novelty mug by Lord Nelson Pottery. Brown glaze. One one side it depicts "Thirsty Days", a man wearing a hat downing a mug of ale. The poem reads...THIRSTY DAYS HATH SEPTEMBER APRIL, JUNE AND NOVEMBER: ALL THE REST ARE THIRSTY TOO EXCEPT FOR HIM WHO HATH HOME-BREW. The other side shows a picture of 3 types of drinks with the question "WHAT'S YOURS"? Pre-owned in wonderful condition except for some crazing, but no chips or cracks. 4.75" high x 4.25" in diameter at the base, the handle add another 1.5" to the width. The mug flares out at the base, the upper rim is 3.25" wide.
