Thornton Burgess (1874–1965) wrote thousands of animal stories for children, beginning with the publication of Old Mother West Wind in 1910. The only marks in this book are the name of the former, only owner on the inside cover and with a presentation, "from Pop, Pop to Cal my Pal." (A touching offering from Father to Son.) The book is in cherished, pristine condition with no other marks or folds. No sign of wear. Dust Jacket has sear along edges and a tear on the front that has been stabilized. A clear plastic book cover protects it from further aging damage.
