THE FULL STORY While the dial of this Longines is spectacular, the main focus should be on the single button rectangular pusher – the true central command of this brilliant timepiece. The caliber 12.68Z was nicely modified to offer a simplified reading of time. The two center chronograph hands (for the seconds and minutes) runs continuously, and both have a synchronized flyback capability, to start the timing again. This central configuration offers a very legible measure of the elapsed time, thanks to the contrast between the thin blued-steel hands and the larger red chronograph hand. As displayed on the dial, this innovation was patented at the beginning of the 1940s but remained relevant through the decacade, when this Longines was manufactured. omarbarranca Hi. Absolutely great vintage Longines. My question is why do you uploaded the screenshot from the Hodinkee site? Meaning the Hodinkee seems to be a new re-released, because of the crown, dial color etc. And of course the price. Or just for comparison?!

dosserdd @omarbarranca just comparison. Obviously the one the sold for $30k was in excellent condition for a 1947 time piece.
