Royal Doulton Character Jug, Long John Silver D6512 (brown shirt; green and grey parrot). Designed by Max Henk. Series: Characters from Literature Size: 2.5″H (mini) 1951 Robert Louis Stevenson immortalized Long John Silver in his book Treasure Island written in 1883. Long John Silver was a nickname for Captain Flint, perhaps best known of all the pirates. His parrot sits on his left shoulder and forms the handle, parrot is a blue/grey with green/white feathers on his wings.
